It’s become apparent to me some of my problems at work are coming from my manager’s poor communication skills.

It’s time to move on in my own terms before that decision is made for me.

Amazon seem to lose a few parcels lol. They lost a phone case I ordered while I was staying at the AirBNB a month ago, and they lost my favourite rice crackers today. I got a refund last time, but this time I just wanted my crackers so I contacted them. Apparently they’re resending it with same day delivery. Excluding uber parcels, and all the knockoff uber style delivery people, I’ve never had a parcel arrive same day before. I have the option on some things with Amazon, but even with prime, you have to spend 50 bucks to get it for free. Otherwise it’s free next day

My partner is experiencing having mental clarity for the first time she can remember after starting a trial of meds based on a recent ADHD diagnosis. This is a good thing and I’m very happy for her.

Melbcat didn’t eat her meal and spat out her syringed meds this morning - right down the inside of my sleeve! Thankfully she’s finished her antibiotics but she still needs her pain meds.

@melbaboutown @Seagoon_ Poor Melbcat, hope she gets better soon.

And I don’t envy you, especially if you had to feed her the tablets.

One of ours went to the vet recently and was given antibiotics.

Within a day or so, she figured out the signs and began hiding in a cupboard as soon as either of us opened the drawer where they were kept. Or she heard the pill bottle open.

It then took bogh my partner and I to hold her down while feeding her the tablet.

Melbcat knows what an oral syringe is and has formed a negative association with the phrase “uh oh spaghettio’s”

Well one pair of missing trackies has been found in a bag from a previous hospital trip.

The other pair are completely gone. They either have to have been in the clothes that got ruined and thrown out - otherwise those were some moths.

    Gratitude thread!

My manager offered me a shift this morning which was great. I wasn’t going to be working at all otherwise.

Also grateful for my aunt’s puppy that I saw briefly today.

They’ve almost finished rebuying all of my stolen/damaged property. We’re down to the 3DS and an old phone (both were out of stock and I need to find elsewhere), as well as a power board, my canvas poster, bike seat, and aroma diffuser which they haven’t yet bought. Although there’s now a second list of things I’ve noticed missing since the first list that I’ll need to send soon as well.

I appreciate all the wonderful people who spend time contributing to OpenStreetMap. Especially grateful for those who leave notes with photos that allow more technical users to improve the map. The quality of OSM is at times better than Google Maps which makes me really happy to see.

I managed to get a trip to Kmart after the doctor today but really didn’t like any of their trackie daks. They all had the wide rigid elastic waistband high and tight on your stomach and I can’t stand even the suggestion of being squeezed. Or it digging in if you bend. Also the rest of the stuff was ugly.

I don’t want to have to sew my own clothes 🙃

My ascolor trackies have that shit overenthusiastic waist band. Really regret them tbh. Even bought 3xl for hernia comfort wear.

I thought it was just a trendy cut for women’s daks… maybe they’re making them all over tight and rigid compensate for eventual stretching of the elastic but it’s still a shit move. The elastic is never going to stretch out if I can’t stand to wear the damn things and the purpose was comfort.

Sorry to hear about the hernia

I’m on the mend from the hernia thanks, those pants still suck. Either give me gurgley stomach or press too hard on the surgery site.

Uncomfortable exercise/slob wear should be illegal. That goes double when sick, disabled or recovering from surgery

Also shit sleep. Garbage trucks doing the rounds woke me up early, then more street noise compared to usual ensured I could not fall back to sleep. About to go for coffee 2 for the day.

I can’t seem to take untimed naps. I’ve had 2 in the last week, and i always end up having horribly terrifying dreams. Either gotta cut it before REM starts, or make it a full sleep (which I was kind of hoping for tonight, but that won’t fricking happen when I wake up after an hour after having a bad nightmare :/

Oh, and, trying to take a timed nap usually doesn’t work either, because I get deadline anxiety and then only drift off when the timer is almost finished

The agency for which I submitted a FOI Request under Section 39 has not given me a response within 30 days, so that probably means I’ll have to go to VCAT—which is something I really don’t want to do.
