I am currently taking my break away in another team’s work room since I seemingly cant take breaks at my own desk.
Been gifted a Lindt chocolate ball by a kind resident team member.
Shame though that I’ll only have my phone to enter myself but better than nothing.
Going to try and chill quietly and alone today with my coffee.
Things could be tense for awhile since the altercation this morning that I had with my co worker.
I hope you like today’s DT emoji title. :)
I love it! RAWR!

What flavour?
I actually don’t know what flavour it was, it was a sky blue/aqua colour wrapping.
Sea salt?
first? hmm.
Who’s on second?
Hey Firstie. 🙂
The boys were fascinated by a remote control car last weekend so I think it’s time for me to break out mine.
I hope they don’t mind I don’t have a truck. I’m a ‘serious’ remote control car enthusiast that goes for cars and buggies.
Paint it yellow and say Tonka branched out to buggies
I have one that with a Lancia Delta shell so hopefully the rally videos I’ve put on for them will make them appreciate it
can you get a truck shell?
I could for the buggy and it would look alright. The drift car would only work if I got one of the ute shells that goes with the chassis.
The greater point is I have a rain to get another remote control car if they want to watch a truck
Saw this, this morning, https://i.imgur.com/eymYItU.mp4
I’ve seen this adorable little puppet. He does great Youtube videos that feel like they could be their own kids’ show:
omg, my allergies are driving me crazy, so itchy everywhere
My nose is swollen shut, and my eyes are weepy. Bloody pollen
watched the trailer for the final Grand Tour special and I’m already crying. I dont know if I’m gonna be able to get through it.
Ok, after an hour’s lie down I’ve recovered a bit and making myself go in to watch the film. I likely won’t have the opportunity to watch it anywhere else, and it’s good to expand one’s horizons and get out of one’s head. Especially prior to a holed-up weekend of reading and rewriting (as now my proposal is somewhat different)… Wearing a mask to at least slightly reduce the chance of getting some new shitty infection. Can’t afford that this weekend!
Gonna fuck around and set up my gaming PC again to try Deadlock. Gave away my monitor, chair and desk, so gonna be an interesting setup for the time being.
Also, BBQ Samboy chips detected at Aldi in the CBD.
Aldi’s bags of popcorn are pretty good. I need to tell the world so they stay in circulation forever.
So sitting on the floor in front of the lounge room TV, just like we did in the 80s? :D
Well funny you say that, I don’t have a TV either. This laptop’s screen might do, though…
Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening.

Dumpling review:
Good flavour - these were pork and ginger. Texture was lacking, but I blame my own cooking. I ended up kind of… Shallow boiling them, draining the water, then putting them pack on with a little butter (I don’t really use oil). Let the remaining moisture evaporate as best it could and stirred em around a bit. Finished with soy sauce and la gan mao chilli crisp. Also had broccolini. They came out quite soft and tacky? Still good though.I don’t really use oil
Oil is fren not foe with the dumplo.
Sometimes I steam the Aldi gyoza in the microwave, which I’m sure isn’t ideal but hey it’s quick and easy. And they’re still good.
Are the Aldi gyoza any good?
My go to are the rebranded ones that used to be from KB.
I like the prawn ones, not a fan of the veg variety.
The pork & ginger ones I like to have in soup or on top of ramen. They are softer and tackier than other kinds. I have had trouble fry/steaming them. They do OK steamed only, but are really nice in soup.
If you intend on feasting on more dumplings in the coming years get a couple of bamboo steamers like Catfish said.
This is the way. Also, to save the annoying ripping off of the right size of baking paper grab some liners
Cultures not back yet. One vet was willing to give Melbcat the stronger pain meds but another has decided against it, so the compromise was giving an extra dose of her existing medication.
They’re saying results will probably be in on Tuesday so baby girl will be going the weekend without antibiotics and only pain relief. She’s got fussy and peed on stuff tonight so I gave her the last dose of the strong stuff.
She will no longer eat wet food if it has extra water so maybe I can try some tuna juice or weak allium free broth.
Crossing fingers for Melbcat.
So many hugs to you both
Since seeing Deadpool wolverine recently, fam wanted to watch all the X-Men movies. We started two weeks ago and have made it to Logan.
Haven’t seen it since 2018 and remember crying at the end.
Looks like those feels are gonna come back tonight.
On the bright side we’ll be watching the first Deadpool flick tomorrow so that’ll alleviate the sads
Logan was such an awesome movie and yes, 😭 at the ending.
I’ve cried watching something since but bawling my eyes out at a superhero movie was something I wasn’t going to predict
Still here: they were running behind because of an emergency.
Nothing obvious but they’re concerned that she’s dropped half a kilo since her last visit. Waiting on some blood results as I type.Back home - blood tests showed nothing abnormal except for higher thyroid which is unusual in a senior cat. They gave us some fluids and that seems to have helped - when I got her home she went straight for the old food that Zooks hadn’t finished and then scarfed down the fresh stuff I gave her three mouthfuls at a time - didn’t finish it all but spread over three saucers probably a full saucer. So fingers crossed.
🖤
Poor Sammi. Hopefully the fluid boost has helped her feel good enough to want to eat.
Wait, what? Hyperthyroidism usually happens i. Cats older than 12, it’s younger that’s unusual.
Good news is it’s readily controllable with meds. We used to soak Punkin’s in a spoon of churu and he just fucking went for it
Poor bubby.
Edit: I’m hoping no hyperthyroidism but we’ve been through it and I’m happy to answer any questions
Whatever youse are doing tonight have a good time ok.
Just keeping the numbers up because I love a competition.
Idle thought post time: I found a $300 Avert duffle dry bag in the park on the dog walk this morning. Probably crime. I’ll give it a wash and drop it at the op-shop.
