Right after buying from Amazon my payment method got declined from Coles and my accounts weren’t showing on the app.

Apparently there are issues with online banking that arose 30 minutes ago, but the timing… way to give me a heart attack.

looking at industrial labellers, angry at AI. I should be able to tell it to give me a comparison of PT-E300VP vs PT-E550WVP, tweaking for cost and availability of consumables but nooo instead it’s putting milk tits on musk

Fucking dead internet, It took me ages (via google) to find an actual formal hire shop that I could visit and not some online service that wanted me to dance through my own fitting then mail me a suit.

Tech companies using the term ‘AI’ is like Porsche continuing to use the word ‘Turbo’ on their electric cars. Meaningless marketing bullshit. There’s no ‘intelligence’. It’s just the marketing buzzword of the year.

I have a high-horse on this subject and by god there’s no way I’m getting down from it.

oh zero argument here I’m just still megapissed because I’m old enough to remember the net before SEO and corporations jammed their dick unsolicited up its arse and yea, for a bright shining moment I used to be able to actually tell it “Give me a breakdown between A and B” and it would

Oh I hear ya. I’m an old fart who started on Gopher, first browsed the ‘World Wide Web’ in Lynx in a Unix session and thought visiting AltaVista in Mosaic was the shit.

The way the net (and tech in general) has been in a downward spiral for so long, when originally there was so much promise, infuriates me.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go feed my horse.

Two words my friebd: Fred Mail.

In related news I just found out that google has decided to start ignoring the site:.au command

So what little use i had for it on a commercial front is now utterly gone.

You know how you put banana’s into the freezer to make banana cake and eventually end up just throwing out a hoard of old bananas before starting the cycle again? I pulled out my bananas and made a cake.

So, most of my practice assessments are done for this semester, bar one which should be done next week. Just gotta review them before submission, tighten up some terminology, and I’m sorted.

Crazy how I absorb so much information and do so well, when I’m not abused on the phones for 8 hours straight

I hope everyone has a great night ❤️

My headache wasn’t too bad today, and I got to Wfh which helped heaps.

Work is going OK, responsibilites are amping up, but I like that. Get along OK with most people which is a plus.

Thank you everyone who put up with my drama over the last 6 months. You guys all made such a huge positive impact on my life. I don’t know if I would have gotten through it without you ❤️

    Bonus cat

I’m so glad you kept at it and persisted even though it was hard.

One of my friends tried to switch careers and had a ton of IT tech experience and he couldn’t for the life of him find a job many years back.

In the end he went back to his former company as they were happy to take him back if things didn’t pan out.

Don’t forget to treat yourself to something special every now and again!

I have meatballs and some Oat thickened cooking cream. I’m going to have a crack at making Swedish meatballs so I can used both of them without eating pasta again so soon.

If these turn out alright we can have Ikea meatballs at home.

I decided to look at the 7-Eleven app as it keeps getting recommended. There does not seem to be any option to actual create an account. The closest I can find is to sign up for their rewards program, which starts with requiring a phone number and tells me that my phone number is invalid. Also looking at the fine print they now limit the amount you can save by locking the fuel price to 25c, which considering it often jumps 40c or more when it goes up these days is not quite the “price lock” I imagined.

Edit: solved the issue with signing up - some weird glitch on the tablet that if the app is in landscape mode it doesn’t show the option to register. It is there on the phone and when I resize the window on the tablet it magically appeared there too!

2nd Edit: solved except it is supposed to send a code to my email address and it has not come through.

Yeah, I use that and it’s really good. It also shows you a graph of average prices, it’s interesting to look at the different patterns in different capital cities.

I have found there are a few places that seem to go up first, then the rest follow over a week or so. So far there have not been any going up again, so I should be good for at least a few days.

If you’re clever enough to fake your gps and careful with making sure your app is closed before setting up the gps you can put yourself close to a cheaper 7-11, lock in the price, close the 7-11 app then reset your gps and don’t open the app again for awhile so they don’t detect you zooming around unrealistically.

    80s kids party food please.

Already got: fairy bread, snakes in cups, choc crackels, those cornflake things, terrible little frankfurts.
