I rode to work today, which meant I had to ride home. But weather like this is never as bad as it looks once you’re out on the bike

I feel cold, even though the heating is on, and I’m on the couch under a blanket. I hope I’m not getting the lurgy thats going around.

Oh no. I once rocked up to a restaurant with my imitation crocs on. I didn’t realise until I’d actually arrive at the destination and was getting out of the car. It was only at Okami but still.

      On what?

And unless you get a tax break for unrealised capital losses then no. Because value goes up and down according to the market mood , it’s kind of ephemeral. ( tho of course people do borrow against capital )

I’ve gotten myself into the habit of going to bed after 1. Even when I try to go to bed earlier I find myself faffing about and staying up until then. I need to try force myself to go to bed earlier and break the cycle

Try going to bed at 12:45. Don’t look at the time once you are in bed. Do this until your body gets use to the new time table. Repeat.

Thanks. That’s the way to do it. Go to bed a little earlier and get used to that. I’ve been thinking I should just try lay down at 11

Pretty awful day to be out and about but it was made bearable through teamwork (can’t believe I said that). I might do some work from home tomorrow and see if the cat can be enticed to enjoy some lap time on the oodie. In fact, I might do a bit of that tonight if I feel up to it… sox was remarkably affectionate when I got back and even did a bit of lap sitting in order to furiously headbutt my gloved hand. I suppose she must love the hand that feeds her the treats 😁

Yes, I don’t think she was too happy at all about having to move and was certainly upset about it at the beginning. But I think food and warmth trumps a lot of misgivings and she definitely remembers me now even though I’m not in the same place.

        brief lap shot

Oh yes, familiarity and territory is huge for cats! But thankfully so is food and warmth. She’s doing really well.

I’m glad she’s warming up to you again, did it always take awhile for her to warm up to you?

When she was younger and she lived in the same apartment complex at me she was pretty chilled out even on the first day, though it took her longer to get comfy enough for lap time.

This time around she’s started off hot but then gone a lot further. I guess there’s not much else for her to do in this tiny apt either…
