Well, well, well… I guess we’ll never know. It might as well be anything. It’s a well guarded mystery.

The recipe was hand delivered by Satan him/herself and this was where they harvested the black demon piss for the base ingredient. I wish they would put up a sign so I can stop explaining it.

Except for the plaque in front of the well.

Or the big picture behind it showing the age where they dug stuff out of it.

Or the video playing on a tv behind the well explaining everything about it.

OP doesn’t get their 10-2-4 and it affects their brain.

    One of two explanations:

It’s where they keep Gozer trapped and the camera is for security reasons. Probably got a proton pack aimed at it out of sight.

Samara from The Ring is down there and the camera is hooked to a monitor so people can view and have fun times in 7 days.

You can enter that hole after blasting the glass on the top of the hole (requires the super bomb), however going down is a bit tricky, and is even trickier to get out.

While falling down the hole, aim your gun downwards and continuously shoot, since the bottom is filled with enemies. You can find various upgrades there, as well as a shortcut to Underground Mines Level II and Underground Labs.

Obviously where they keep Dr. Pepper after he started producing too much Pepper - now they power the plant with his output, making sure that nobody opened it and they keep it below a certain temperature.

I believe they call it “PSC” for Pepper Sarcophagus Container.

I believe it was the old well the company used for soda when it first opened. I think when it went dry they started throwing bottles down there before covering it

I love how whenever humans make or find a deep hole it inevitably starts getting random shit thrown in it or actual shit. It usually works unless its the town of Centralia Pennsylvania, and even then it would have been fine if the human tendency for setting trash on fire was not followed through.
