Back in one piece and now the process of operation de-bug guts begin…

They just love going kamikaze on me. Just me. ‘Cause I fully look like I love massive amounts of bug guts smeared across my line of sight.

Onions and mushrooms cut and fried. Massive bowl of it that should last a good few days.

Air frying chicken tenders to be all assembled with Turkish bread and some sauce.

    Bon appetite!

Ended up making a shit tonne of food, in addition to the dal and the slow cooked jackfruit, made a massive broccoli and pea and cashew curry that is bloody delicious if I say so myself. Not much progress with the jars and haven’t started pantry cull yet. But I don’t mind because I have momentum and a plan… and had a few nice family chats today so that was worth it.

Downside is I’ve picked up a nasty headache out of nowhere this arvo. I’m going to dish out this food, chuck everything in the dishwasher (I will fucking miss this dishwasher), finish the leftovers and call it a day. Gotta love winding down to Fresh Produce on PBS

Your food sounds awesome! Sometimes I get a mid afternoon headache from standing at a prep bench all day. It’s something to do with the angle of your neck. I hope you feel better soon!

Oh, I hadn’t thought about neck angle at all! That’s something to keep in mind. I’m really glad to read that you’re feeling better too despite the Dr being unhelpful the other day. Here’s to a restful and healing night for us both.

I hope you feel better soon.

Give yourself a gentle shoulder shrug or three and see if you can feel any points of tension.

Pop some nurofen or panadol if you have any with your meal and that might make you feel better.

Thanks. Had some Nurofen earlier which did nothing. I am gonna have some again, plus extra water as I think I’m dehydrated. I suspect it’ll be better once I wake up. Feels like it was a reaction to something. So tired! I’m going to take it easy when I get back tomorrow.

Went for a walk down at Point Nepean and checked out some of the old structures. Fascinating stuff. So bloody thankful to live here! Now time for some drinks, music and chilling out!

Yeah I’m definitely finding it hard to relax. There’s always this nagging in the back of my mind “you’re wasting time, do something more productive”.

It sucks and I don’t know how to stop.

I often feel like I’m “not allowed” to do nothing, especially when there is housework or similar I “should” be doing. I feel enormous guilt at the “wasted time,” even though it’s actually really important. My parents especially would have frowned at the periodic inactivity, but they aren’t living my life.

It’s self care. It’s okay to have leisure time, in fact it’s normal and human and healthy. Do your best to quell those self sabotaging thoughts and enjoy! You’re allowed to enjoy things guilt-free, but if you require permission then it is granted 😂

I think you’ve just got to come to terms with that it’s not a waste of time and just gradually change your viewpoint on things.

You’re having some recreational time to yourself, would you feel any different if you read a book, listened to a podcast, movie or watched tv or did something socially?

I think this is left over from when I wasn’t working. It’s left an imprint on both my space and my state of mind.

Going to have dinner and try to settle into some gaming :)

drainage. Our land slopes, the previous owners put in a brick retaining wall for a level garden bed. It had zero drainage, so was essentially a bathtub. The pipe is socked 65mm AGI, the arms slope down to the centre line, except the last one that the centre slopes into, and then goes out a drilled hole that will hook into further drainage. Finish gravelling over the pipe, fold the geotextile over like a fat sausage, kick the dirt back and then later putting in decorative dividers that will mimic what used to be a pile of concrete and brick bed dividers I painstakingly dug out.

        previous hole pics

I haven’t done any in a while. Just spent too much time sick in bed this year, at least 4 months 😔, and the rest of the year was doing big house cleaning and sorting

Took the Minipeelers out for an ice-cream and walked along the local creek. It’s a windy, polleny kind of day but it wasn’t unpleasant, not along the creek path anyway. Cut some of a plant outside that had keeled over for some reason. Did a couple of loads of washing and cleaned the bathroom. Am procrastinating on the kitchen.

Feeling a lot better thankyou! Just keeping up with the cortisone and calmoseptine and the rash has almost completely disappeared on my arms. How’s your day going?

Apart from the late wake up I’m doing well.

Done some chores, washing is on and I’m fully stuffed from a meal and drinking coffee on the couch with the women’s cricket on at the moment while I chill with my ps5 today.

I’m glad to hear you’re doing better and that the rash is doing a lot better. It’s a great feeling as it gets less and less painful.
