I know they’re going to say it is only jokes. Fuck that. I get y’all want to be edgelords, but this is the most dangerous thing that has happened this century. I would be surprised now if we make it to the end of the year without some people getting assassinated for real, and it will target overwhelmingly the leftest end of the spectrum.

Y’all are on the precipice of finding out firsthand the difference between “OMG I’m so oppressed, the police are racist and I’m struggling to pay my bills, civil war y’all” and “OMG I’m so oppressed, a gang of big violent fuckers with bats and boots and the support of the government just attacked my whole community, seriously hurt me, and burned part of my house down. They told us if they find us here tomorrow, they’ll kill us.”
Donald Trump is the most dangerous thing that has happened this century. Far more people have been and will be hurt and killed because of him. I have no sympathy for anything that happens to a man with so much blood on his hands, and I don’t say that to be edgy, I say that because I simply see it as a Trolley Problem.
I have no memory of this, but apperently my dad presented me with the trolley problem when I was 4.
My response was “You run over the 4 on the track, then back the train up, and run over the other guy”.
To which my sister who’s 10 years older than me said “If you have control over the train, why not just hit the brakes, and not run ANYBODY over?”
And I replied “BECAUSE THAT’S NOT HOW YOU GET THE HIGH SCORE!!!”
Yeah, whenever someone posits the trolley problem in my proximity, I’ll always add a variation of “extra one hundred points for each mother with a stroller” to the assignment. To the horror of everyone involved :)
It’s like some meme version of the Trolley problem where you have millions of LGBT+minorities+Ukrainians+immigrants on one track and a rapist on the other one. Just to test out how far you are willing to hold to your firm stance of never pulling the lever.
