Yeah no the rest of the series outlines that he basically turned himself into a slave of fate and condemned humanity to having to suffer milenia of tyranny under a self appointed god king before they could achieve freedom.
Also that self appointed god king is a sandworm human hybrid that considers himself to be filling the role of a predator in an ecosystem oversaturated with prey animals.
This seems like the wrong community for this post
Is there a lost lemmings community?
there’s this one but it doesn’t seem to have any recent posts [email protected]
Might be nice to have a more generic one if we make a new one. Maybe
c/LostUsers
or something to keep it open to lemmy/kbin/piefed/sublinks/mastodon etc
I found Tony Soprano holding a strong opinion on Dune to be humorous.
Sir, this is Wendy’s.
Where do you think we are?
Brendon Fraser’s funeral?
No. In the follow up novels, Paul realizes he’s become a dictator, and a mass murder. After being blinded, he exiles himself into the desert, and comes back to warn his son of the dangers of absolute power. Which his son ignores. Trillions die.
People with that opininon are usually the people who think Patrick Bateman, and the humans in Starship Troopers, Walter Heisenberg, etc., are heroes. They are not.
etc., are heroes. They are not.
Well, they may not be your hero.
They’re not the heroes to anyone who is not a psychopath. You do you, and stay away from me. Stay edgy, see how that works out later.
(That’s the joke.)
I get it. But I’m drunk, a little slow on the uptake. Have a good night.
Can I get an “Amen?”
Someone didn’t finish the series lol
What’s wrong with becoming a wormbeast with absolute power that’s wrong? Libcucks!
/sarcasm, for the stupid.
Tony Soprano holds irrational opinions. (That’s the joke.)
