  • why wait? I was hoping you americans would have acted by now but…psh I’m not holding my breathe anymore. almost any other country would be rioting, violently, right now but you guys have zero leaders to rally anything. and any thing close to an opposition leader you have is saying “just wait for the midterms!” yeah…ok buddy either you’ll be lucky if your dear leader allows midterms to happen OR they do, dems win across the board, but most of this shit goes into effect AFTER said midterms thus the nazi’s blame the dems for everything and ensure glorious leader wins a 3rd term.

shit I’ll be surprised if most of you guys are still working, eating, not in a camp, or hell even alive by that point.

a dumb population is easier to control than an educated one. They don’t plan on reducing the number of children, no they need more to produce for the wealthy. What they need are dumb kids that will grow into dumb adults. uneducated adults are more likely to have A LOT of kids. So you strip education, you strip healthcare, you make abortions illegal across the board, thus you force the population to keep pumping out new workers. many will die, the strong idiots will survive.

They’re turning the country into cattle.

  • Mullvad is great, only VPN i’ll ever use. I’m just a random number to them. no emails, no names, nothing. Hell I can even just pay them in cash if I wanted. Their service has improved too. on some wifi networks it would take me a couple minutes to connect but now it’s instant. Soon as I boot into my WM just “mullvad connect” in the terminal and I’m good to go.

  • depends on what day of the week it is. if it’s a weekday then I turn on the TV and watch like Power Rangers or whatever was on during Fox Kids Mornings. Or if i’m in my bedroom where I didn’t have cable then bleh had to watch Global (Canada) and it was carebears or inspector gadget or something in the mornings. OR just put on the Genesis/SNES.

If it’s Saturday then I’m up early to go to the basement to watch cartoons all morning.

it was way better back then.

  • my favourite was the 3D “file system” in Jurassic Park. At the time I was just using DOS and had no clue about Unix and was like “oh that’s bullshit” but it wasn’t. the thing actually exists and I have it on one of my machines right now that I like to use every now and again and in my head I always think “it’s a unix system, I know this.”

  • It’s such a dog and pony show. Seems like every week there’s new “grounds for impeachment” or “motion for impeachment has been introduced” which leads to jack all. Conservatives have shown that they don’t give a fuck, they’re going to keep trucking ahead because they KNOW no one will stop them. Meanwhile Democrats just keep playing by the rules in hopes someone will finally acknowledge said rules and act on them.

And don’t pretend the American people are any better. Sure the No Kings protests were fantastic but that was ONE day. In any other country on this planet it wouldn’t have ended, they’d still be protesting to this day and for the foreseeable future. The Republicans essentially said “let the babies have their bottles” for ONE day.

You have a literal SS going around and gathering up anyone and everyone they deem a threat to the country, you have the military in blue states and cities ready to knock skulls together, and now you have ANOTHER war in the middle east where ALL the terror cells will come out of the woodwork again to strike back. and yet the US people can muster ONE day out of their lives, a Saturday no less, to protest. You guys need to be on the streets 24/7. And to those saying “well I have a job, I have bills to pay, I have medical insurance from said job” yeah ok bud, you think any of those things are going to be there for you this time next year?

  • My dad can write DOS commands better than most people my age can and I work in Tech. beyond that? he’s clueless. Younger generations can either type with their thumbs or their index fingers and know absolutely nothing about how things work. If it’s an app they can open on their phones or tablet devices then perfect, they’re all over it. Beyond that? no way.

People my age and from my generation can type well, can figure things out and fix issues on computers, and know our way around tech. Why? cause we were raised in an age where things were essentially “kicking off”. I was taught typing in high school. Beyond that most of us used AIM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, mIRC, etc so if we weren’t taught it in high school we learned it that way.

We learned html, php, javascript, etc via Geocities, setting up PHP messageboards, hell even just customizing our Myspace page. younger generations don’t have anything like that so they don’t know it. We learned it in our free time to customize our online experience. We had daily consistent shows like The ScreenSavers or Call for Help to teach us how to use Windows or even introduce us to Linux. I learned to build my first PC thanks to Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton. countless magazines and books to pick up to read how to do stuff. And in those days if you wanted to game on PC you pretty much had to build your own PC. No one made prebuilt custom gaming pcs. So you had to learn that stuff.

Today things are all prebuilt for you. gaming pcs, phones and tablet apps, etc. People today just want things to “just work” and if there’s anything needed beyond opening an app and logining in then they’re not interested. Finding and signing up for instances? forget it.
