Hey guys, there is a lot of troll baiting in this thread. You’ve been doing a great job of not falling for it, so I’m not going to lock it. Newbies to this thread, check the times of when it was made and if it brings up the distant past a lot, those are good clues. Leave one comment at most to save everyone’s sanity.

To be fair, Clinton did take advantage of an intern in a relationship where the power dynamic meant there could never be meaningful consent, and then he lied about it under oath.

Two things can be true: it was a political hit job where they were just out to get Clinton on anything they could. But also, Clinton did a shitty thing, was caught, then lied about it.

LOL, compare to now having a convicted felon as president, lied about it, then already committed several crimes after being elected and keeps lying about it. Who cares about a blow job…

Lol, no it isn’t. Ever since Cold War times, the law has been that the president can not only launch missiles, but even deploy troops on the ground, without congressional approval. There’s a limit on how long the troops can be deployed, iirc, but once you’ve started a ground invasion it’s a bit late.

Obviously it’s unconstitutional, but there’s no legal precedent that would say so. If you think this is the first time this has happened, you really need to learn more about history. The US never formally declared war on Vietnam, for example.

not with the house in the hands of republicans.

Best hope there is enough democracy left in the US to swing it back to the Dems in 2026.

And even then, without a comfortable majority for the Dems in the senate it will just be another impeachment to add to the pile, no conviction.

They don’t call him teflon don for no reason

It’s almost like you should do something about those Republicans.

This is the silliest fucking thing I’ve ever read. Go fight.

Dont get your hopes up. The democrats have yet to show any ability to regain seats. they’ll likely just swing harder towards Cheney and get rocked again.

Then every president should be impeached. Dem leadership wouldn’t pursue this because they know it puts some of their own at risk

Every president that I can remember (starting with Reagan) should have been impeached and later prosecuted for war crimes.

What? Democrat presidents aren’t at risk of impeachment? You mean like Bill Clinton?! lmfao and they weren’t trying to do the same to Obama and Biden for their entire terms? But they won’t do it to the next one as long as Trump isn’t impeached for a 3rd time?

Which the Democrats should absolutely fucking do regardless of whether The Republicans will vote to convict, which of course they won’t, but the point is, we can’t just sit back and do nothing. We have to at least show that we’re willing to take the steps that are necessary to dissent.

        Doesn’t matter.

Every impeachable offense needs to be processed. The time the GOP spends defending him is time they aren’t spending actively destroying the world.

Plus, we need to have a clear and firm record of who supports his actions.

They could at least introduce the resolution. It’s not a true win, but at least they don’t continue to be seen just lying down and taking it.

It can be introduced as a “privileged resolution“ which bypasses Johnson’s ability to do that. That said the GOP still has a number of options to table it, or refer it to committee, but at least that bypasses that fuckwad Johnson. This fucking government I swear to God. Can we just please have a constitutional convention already?

I’m not particularly confident that a constitutional convention would end positively. You need 3/4 of state legislatures to agree to any change and Republicans are much more likely than Democrats to reach that threshold. The most realistic outcome is probably an amendment banning DEI initiatives or corporate tax rates above 10% or some shit like that.

“hey buddy, you know how you’re the president of a country here, right?”

“Yes I’m the most beautiful, fluctuant, prescient president of all time, so says the people. I don’t know if it’s true, but that’s what people are saying”

“Uh… Ok? Anyways, how would you like to be president of a whole fucking planet?!?”

“This is what the world needs, a leader to take it into dysplasia. Who else could do it but me? This new one world government and state will need a name. Well call it fantasia, and it will be wonderful.”

“Sure, sure, fantasia sounds beautiful. We’ve already built you the thrown right here. Strap in, your sovereignty”

“I’m going to turn this wasteland, into, you know, a utopia for all rich white Americans”

“Uh huh” tightens seat harness “you snug Mr. President?”

“Well I think you’re a loser because this is too tight. You’re fired, get me someone who can make this right.”

“Oh I am making it right, sir, just give me a second, I apologize.” Leaves capsule

You guys are funny… the top donor to several Democrat politicians is AIPAC. I’d venture to say at least 50% of Democrat representatives support attacking Iran on behalf of Israel. Blue MAGA has been obliviously claiming that people saying he shouldn’t attack Iran are Russian bots.

I’m not saying we should actually make a realistic attempt (according to various videos of actual rocket scientists, it’s virtually impossible anyway), but we could “try”.

The corruption of our nation is absolute.

    The president is a Nazi.

Thr people working for him are Nazis.

They are carrying out a Nazi agenda.

They are illegally starting wars illegally kidnapping Americans and illegally using our own armed forces against us.

The time for resistance is passed.

    It’s time for survival.
