My mom comes from rural Ontario, so I grew up hearing the sort of things you hear on Letterkenny all the time. But I grew up in the city, and I slowly realized that nobody else talks like that

I don’t think any funding was removed here. The police already have a budget to work with specialists like mental health professionals and addictions counsellors. I think the experiment here was simply using that same framework for ER nurses.
That’s always appreciated considering how common the horrible act of ghosting is
This is awesome. The stories they share in the article really go to show that this makes a big difference for helping people. When we talk about police reform, this is the kind of thing we should be advocating, not “defunding”
It’s not a new account. It’s a serial ban evader who is on like his 6th account because he keeps getting banned from asklemmy for acting like an incel
OP you need to recheck the definition of gaslighting. It’s when someone tries to impose a false reality and make you question your sanity by intentionally lying to you.
What this person did was simply misjudge how you would react to some information. That happens all the time. Just recently my gf avoided telling me something because she was worried I would like her less if she told me. She was incorrect as the thing she wanted to tell me didn’t bother me at all. That’s not gaslighting, it’s just an insecurity.
Yeah I hear people say that because of the 3 types of bonus. But there’s also still like 30 conditions, as well as afflictions, skill actions, weapon traits, etc. it’s a lot to manage. FoundryVTT is such a blessing for playing 2e. It automatically tracks everything.
Nah, just issue bonds. Surely this suburban development pattern will be profitable enough to pay back your debts in a couple of decades
NG may actually be just as bad or worse. Methane amplifies the greenhouse effect (IIRC) 4x as much as CO2 per unit volume emitted, and it’s much harder to track the emissions of the NG industry because most of it comes from methane leaks. The FF industry loves NG for that exact reason. If you are leaking an odourless gas, you don’t need to report what you can’t possibly track. So the self-reported emissions numbers look way better than they probably actually are.
The only animal that doesn’t have to worry about catching crabs at the orgy
Ah, well unfortunately my game is online only and full up.
I honestly can’t imagine trying to play PF2e with pen and paper though. There’s so much more to track than with 5e.
I hope you find what you’re looking for. There are a lot of tabletop-friendly people and places in Ottawa, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble.
Maybe try posting on /r/lfg over on the alien site as well.
The way I read this: Kid climbed onto a bridge to kill himself, cops showed up to talk him down but were unable to convince him and he jumped. Why did you post this exactly? What’s the point here?
Imagine you had never seen a crab before. Then someone shows you a picture of a true crab and says “this is a crab”. Now imagine after that you are shown a horseshoe crab. There’s no way you would think that’s also a crab.
Does this allow you to bulldoze poor/minority neighborhoods in order to build a new highway? If I’m gonna parking lot sim, I want to be able to fully RP as Robert Moses
I run PF2e, but not PFS. Organized play always seemed weird to me. Maybe check if any LGSs have it? If nothing else they should have D&D Adventurer’s League
Gboard used to be flawless for swipe typing, but in the last year or so I’ve noticed the autocorrect become far less reliable and actually prone to replacing the word I wanted with something else. They must have made some change within the last couple of years.
Reminds me of Works on Contingency No Money Down
Yeah as someone who works in IT in the government I have to agree with that assessment.
Idk about “more arrivecan-like debacles likely”, but we do basically everything in the dumbest possible way when it comes to IT procurement and project management.
Though I would have said “more Phoenix-like debacles likely” since that was more about the project oversight being a shitshow and less about there being some kind of cronyism involved.
That’s extremely fucked up.
Edit: maybe the ctrl-f didn’t work because the article loads in as you scroll down? The excerpt I copied was from the very bottom of the article.
That’s so dumb. Exposure to technology is neutral on its own. It depends what the tech is being used for whether it’s a good or a bad thing.
