It was a good speech. I hope he, and by extension Canada, follows through. There is a significant difference between correctly identifying a problem and successfully implementing a solution. Canada is not without it’s own version of MAGA. So far they have done a much better job of keeping them at bay but only time will tell if that can continue. The speech was a good start though.

It really is insane to me that in all the world there’s only been one guy (Luigi, allegedly) bold enough to do something about this absurd level of inequality. Think about how many people get murdered for such petty reasons every day, and yet we all look at a few dozen people sitting on literal mountains of cash while thousands of people starve to death and all we do is shrug or wag a finger. Statistically you would expect at least a handful of people to have the right combination of fury and lack of self preservation instincts to take a shot at them and yet here we are. What a wild place to live this planet is.

Do you have kids? “Because I said so” doesn’t usually come out of nowhere. It’s a response of frustration, usually because that conversation has been had multiple times already.
You don’t have to be such a bitch about everything. If you guys can’t even work up the courage to block a government account on an obscure social media site for fear of reprisal then you might as well enroll yourself for deportation right now because you clearly don’t have what it takes to do anything actually useful to stop all this.
Because they want corporations to do their job for them of holding the government accountable.

Wake the fuck up people. We have nothing to lose but our chains.
Nothing meaningful will change until that statement is more true than it is now. The reality is that most of us are still comfortable enough to not want to risk what we’ve got.

It should be clear by now no one will hold him accountable for anything he’s done

Did I miss something? The guy hasn’t been charged with anything last I heard.

Judging from the screen behind her yes, the progress made is both useless and insignificant.

That’s like saying you’ve hit 20% less people with your car this year. I suppose that’s technically an improvement but the goal is a lot more significant than that.

Yeah but all the other people drove off

What am I missing? As far as I can tell this is a great example of several groups of people successfully outrunning a fire.

From behind? How many elbows do you have?

You’re not wrong but that message needs to come from the leaders of the EU. The fact that it isn’t says as much about your leaders as what you’re saying does about the US.

But will they?

I’m not an expert but I have a decent set up going. If you think it would be helpful shoot me a DM and I’ll find a way to show you what I’ve got set up and give any tips I can. It sounds like I started in a similar position to you and I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned so far.
Edit: anyone else reading this is welcome to do the same.
It seemed like that was a real possibility in the last one so you never know. People like simple answers and conservatives play on that tendency all the time. Carney seems to have the right idea here but if he isn’t able to keep the narrative from shifting to something that conservatives can use to make the idiots angry (which they seem pretty good at) then he could be in trouble.
