When an account on Lemmy has been here over a year and has a certain number of posts (100?) is it possible that if a certain number of these users flag an account as a bot account it will temporarily suspend the account from posting until there is a review?

Can this also remove their responses to threads (including subresponses)?

I am seeing thread drift caused by bots pretending to be apolitical moderates that then espouse conservative ideas, posting massive numbers of replies, on day 1 of registering. They are somewhat good at protecting against prompt injection but sometimes say such illogical things to counter the responses of others that they are clearly bots, saying things that make no sense in a neutral tone.

We need this shit off of Lemmy. It’s so irritating I am almoat ready to throw in the towel and never come back here.

Do come back if you ever find a location on the internet that is bot free. Might be hard considering automated activity accounts for over 50% of internet traffic.

But on point, you absolutely do not have the ability to judge if someone is a bot or not. Even if the program used isn’t super sophisticated. If you are worried about it report and move on. No need to announce you will leave because no one actually cares if you do. We don’t know you.
