    She’s a mentor…I doubt she’s ever actually done any cybersecurity work other then read about it, and tell others how she’s read about it and how to go about reading the same things she does.

        No… And that’s not where I was going, gender has nothing to do with this. I know many women who are great at cyber security and other it related aspects. Much better then some of the men I know. It’s a learned skill, not a gener based trait.

          I can’t think of any woman I’ve met in my career in IT that wasn’t significantly better than the average man. Mainly because the average man in this field is really fucking dumb.

            This has been my experience too. I have noticed the women I have trained learned faster, paid attention and did the work to the letter. The guys on the other hand, I would have to babysit and keep checking up on them.
