So.
Much.
Porn.
How do you filter that shit (or don’t)? I ain’t brave enough.
There’s a built in setting that’ll remove all nsfw stuff. I browse by all/hot and all/new all the time, i haven’t seen any porn in a year.
The hundred different anime girl communities I had to block though.
The hundred different anime girl communities I had to block though.
I block the users as well since they’re likely to post in yet another new community not in my block list.
If voyager had regex filters for every block category it would make the Lemmy experience even better.
Yeah that’s what i ended up doing. The user MentalEdge makes and posts to ten new anime moe (whatever the hell that is) communities every day. Block them and they’re all gone.
Join an instance that is defederated from the porn instances, or block those instances yourself.
I just browse subscribed-only.
Yeah, trying to blacklist everything you don’t like seems like an endless game of whack-a-mole. Easier to just whitelist what you want.
This. I would not use a social network of any form I could not easily filter-out everything I’m not interested in. Be it porn, politics, endless drama, or whatever.
So, watching subscribed-only, the only porn I’m ‘happily forced’ to look at comes from
!/c/[email protected] and
!/c/[email protected]As well as from a few other real nasty communities I’m into:
!/c/[email protected]
!/c/[email protected]
!/c/[email protected],
!/c/[email protected],
!/c/[email protected]
!/c/[email protected]
!/c/[email protected]
!/c/[email protected]
!/c/[email protected]
!/c/[email protected]
!/c/[email protected]It’s always a good idea to promote porn, right? ;)
You don’t want the “/c/” prefix – take that off and it’ll produce a home-instance-agnostic hyperlink automatically for people reading the comment.
Just:
!community@instance
Like [email protected].
Thx!
I edited the links. To non-expert me the way links work is still… unfamiliar ;)
Personally I find 90% of the spam is AI slop anyway. I just hide every AI community I see and my all feed is like 8% porn. Easy enough to hide with my subscribed/local feeds
I use voyager as an app on my phone and under settings you can block all NSFW
Apparently I’ve just trained myself to click around them.
Don’t want to disable NSFW in case I miss a spicy meme
The default lemmy ui has the setting.
No app having it makes it better.
NSFW filter works for me.
I’m on /all, and I block a lot of the subs on an individual basis. I’d block all of lemmynsfw but then I wouldn’t see any nsfw content. I don’t mind it being mixed in but there’s a brand new sub every 5 mins on that place. If I just had a way to block cocks and let the rest through, it wouldn’t bother me at all.
I find “hot” is better than “new.” Still new enough so I’m not hitting the 2 day old stuff showing up in “active” and not completely flooded with porn, although it’s definitely there.
I’m a bit of a perv though so I don’t mind some of it lol
“Scaled” 👌
What exactly is scaled?
I’ve never seen porn on Lemmy in my life. NSFW filter off?
Your instance may block it/not federate it. There’s a lot…
Im learning I’m so dumb that only did I not know about filters I’m too lazy to set them up lol
New Local
User profile settings > blocks tab > instance block > add lemmynsfw.com
Gets rid of 90% of it
Lemmit.online too.
That one I think is entirely a bot that scrapes reddit, so I just blocked the whole instance.
Oh yeah definitely get rid of that mirror instance. It’s a spam fest.
I blocked lemmy.nsfw and that got rid of most of what I was seeing
I have blocked every NSFW instance I can find.
I block every nsfw community that shows up in my feed when browsing All.
I also block any instance/community that primarily in a language I don’t read/speak.
I also block any sport community I find.
And finally, if I see a instance/community that looks annoying, I block that too.
My block lists are large and I almost never see any porn or stuff I don’t want to.
