Summary

President Biden recently authorized Ukraine to use longer-range U.S. missiles to strike inside Russia, marking a small but overdue escalation in the conflict.

Analysts argue Biden’s earlier caution was excessive, and calling Russia’s nuclear bluffs is strategically necessary to counter further extortion.

Tbh we should escalate the war.

If you invade my friend’s house and/or hurt his wife/dog/kids all rules are off imo. I’m gonna cut your brake lines, burn your parent’s house and poison your water supply bro.

Accusations of escalation should be met with a bold face abso-fucking-lutely. The fuck is with this tattletale bullshit

It is too a projection. They import shells, weapons and troops from Iran, NK, Africa, India, etc while (a) saying to everyone that lifting existing bans on imported systems is an escalation against them and (b) feeding their loyal listeners with myths about EU countries sending troops of mercenaries since the middle of 2022 and what not. Stopping by the local news broadcasts and headlines makes me wonder how deep the echo chamber really is.

I know Biden never would, but if he really wanted to go full “Dark Brandon” he’d give Zelensky the nuclear football on his final day in office, and just give Trump an NFL football in a lockbox.

This is (mostly) just a joke, as the Nuclear football doesn’t work like that, and doesn’t actually get passed from president to president like that. And also nuclear warfare is horrifying and a bad idea. But between the presidential immunity and Trump having floated nuking a hurricane in the past, I’m also not sure giving Ukraine access to all of our nukes would be any worse than the direction we’re going anyway.
