This post was inspired by a dream misadventure I had the other night where I was just minding my own business getting gophers out of the rice field, then suddenly on the intercom/announcements (which I did not expect to have in my dream, since I was outside, not in a building), a voice said “attention, this is a representative of the fediverse speaking… going into effect today, dreamland itself, err, everyone’s dreams, are now a part of the fediverse; that is all, happy floating on cloud nine” and then suddenly a bunch of Stalingrad ninjas popped out of nowhere and ambushed me (yeah, how would you react if that’s the case). So I guess I’m not even safe from everyone in my sleep.
I dreamt I played a new Borderlands game last night.
- Larger open world
- Emphasis on scavenging
- Returned to the more mature original game
- Even though I was a low level, I kept finding legendary guns
- I found myself in a loop of: go somewhere, kill people, turn in quest
- You could craft guns and vehicles from scrap
This morning I awoke with the following idea for a campaign issue:
People over the age of 65 who can should retire to create opportunities for the generations that followed them.
i was opening a bunch of mail and one envelope had a check for $413k.
That I couldn’t boot up my laptop. I’m yet to try turning it on. I think I need a nap first
I had a dream with a neighbourhood that doesn’t exist.
In the dream I know how to reach it - you need to go on a certain direction without crossing the main street, except that it’s literally impossible to do so IRL.
The neighbourhood is poor and dilapidated; we call it a “vila” here in my city. And yet it’s safe enough to let me walk through that neighbourhood for a shortcut. There’s no house yards there, or streets, just a bunch of houses built at random.,
The weirdest part? It was the third time that I dreamt with this neighbourhood.
