My head canon for the kids anime film Penguin Highway is that the plot is about a visitation by >3 dimensional beings. Adventures in flatland, but we’re living in flatland.
Gonna need you to take about 20% off the top there Dashie.

I started paying attention to this stuff back when Dolby Pro Logic was new, which was a pretty clever way to get surround effects using only left and right audio channels. Left and right channels went directly to the front left and right speakers, but it also compared wave forms coming from the left and right channels. Any wave forms that matched got sent to the center channel (like most on-screen dialog) and any that mismatched got sent to the rear surround speakers (noise, ambience, etc). It wasn’t perfect by any measure, but it was a pretty clever hack.
There’s nothing shameful about enjoying a good genre picture. :D
The best queer film I saw last year was Kokomo City, a documentary about black trans sex workers. It was legit.
This trailer is trash compared to the original one used for film’s initial release in Japan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nW6LLojcUw
As a fellow person with partial Irish ancestry and a nickel allergy, do I have… magic powers?
Agreed. Washington state is at rank 30 here, 5 below Tennessee. This ranking methodology is suspect.
I suspect this was a “do it or we’ll categorize Mozilla products as malicious software” situations. But some transparency from Mozilla would be nice.
12 year SDE + 12 year TPM vet here.
Do everything you can to help your software engineers (or whoever is doing the work) have as much focus time as they need. Buffer your meetings and questions to one chunk of time per day. Encourage them to block-out and protect their focus time. And encourage the team to keep office hours so they can still make themselves available to others, but in a controlled way.
Be transparent with the business’s goals and frustrations you are facing. There’s an attitude (often among inexperienced devs) that PMs are good for nothing; just an interface to the rest of the business, and a source of where tasks come from. And some certainly are that, but a good PM is worth their weight in gold.

Post-it notes. One pack is enough for like a third of the plane.
I know he retired as studio president a few years ago, but sure hope that Masaaki Yuasa got a well-deserved payout as a part of this deal. Dude is 59 years old, has an epic filmography to his name and (with any luck) is now sitting of a brand new pile of money.
Good for him.
I’m no doctor, so bring your grain of salt to this comment.
If you’re running into some pressure when initially pushing the needle in, by my experience, that can be expected from time to time. I try really hard to ensure my muscles are relaxed when injecting, but sometimes it’s a little harder to do the initial push.
If you’re running into some pressure when pushing the plunger to actually inject (which is what your post says), there could be a few things happening:
you might be hitting old scar tissue from previous injections. If you’re doing your thigh, make sure you’re switching legs each week and not picking the same spot each time.
what’s your needle gauge? I have good luck with 22G. If you’re using something smaller, the fluid is going to have a hard time making its way in. I wouldn’t go bigger than 20G though, especially if you’re worried about bleeding.
what’s your needle length, and (putting this the kindest way possible) how thick are your thighs? Your needle might be the wrong length for your body type. My partner uses 1 inch needles, but I use 1.5 inch (for gluteus injections). Length matters.
Nobody ever put mushroom duxelles in my corndogs. I feel cheated.
