I fear that next election reform is going to do much better.
In the mean time, Labor may not have much of a mandate for progressive policies, they’ll be creeping to the right to quell support for reform party.

Polls in the US and Australia in the last decade have been absurdly inaccurate.
It’s not hyperbole, it’s fair criticism.
I genuinely believe that the minimum standard of a functioning member of society is to select a representative who will participate in setting policies for the society of which they are a part.
To claim that no one aligns with your ideology or your views is to fail in that objective. You simply select the one most closely aligned.
I think people think of fascism as specifically “murdering minorities” or something rather than a form of autocracy.
As a non-european I have some questions!
Firstly, is voting in the UK compulsory?
Secondly, how likely is it that the polls are wrong and the Tories will form government?
And thirdly, how have the Tories suddenly fallen from grace? They’ve presided over a real shit show for the last decade but kept getting elected. What changed?
Congratulations, you’ve failed to achieve the bare minimum standard expected of functioning members of society, and apparently failed to understand how democracy works. Well done.
My partner of 12 years and mother of my children got citizenship in my home country a few days ago. It’s been a long and difficult road to get here.
This sounds an awful lot like doing nothing
What does that even mean though?
As long as the rule of law and checks and balances can be continued afterwards
Historically that never happens and it’s naive to think that it would.
Of course it’s arbitrary.
It doesn’t take much self awareness to realise that having a president pick and choose which SCOTUS rulings they think are ok, is exactly the type of authoritarian autocrat you’re trying to avoid.
Arbitrarily rewriting laws you don’t like sounds pretty fascist to me.
These threads are awash with comments like this but you can’t avoid fascism by becoming a fascist.
Shit is fucked but arbitrary killing is not the solution.
You can’t beat fascism by becoming fascist.
Sorry mate this is just bonkers.
Nice. These look great.
Do you know if it will turn off entirely if the temp is low enough? Or they just idle away at 300rpm or so.
I’m sure it was just one flea.
oh man. This is perfect. Thankyou.
I was actually looking at these on amazon but I mistakenly thought that the term “temperature controlled” included in the product name was just SEO bullshit, referring to the mobo controlling the temperature.
I see now that these ones do it themselves.
This is the way.
That’s just not practically possible.
OP said they’re running a small business. It’s great that they want to fly the flag for FOSS, but they’re not in the business of promoting and advocating for FOSS. They still need to do the things they need to do.
Refusing to file your taxes on the grounds that the software provided is not open source is a great way to no longer be in business.
