The Chinese auto worker is paid more than a Mexican one. Difference is the Chinese companies aren’t afraid of automation, and it has given them a financial cushion to develop better cars.

Tariffs aren’t the answer… I’ve seen some of the newer French cars and they look really amazing. They are an example of when companies have to compete in a free market.
Tariffs just hand the Chinese an even larger lead.
Is this worth it or is it just K9 with a different name? Like does it really add anything
Yes they added THC to the caffeinated malt liquor
lol I thought this was going to pertain to the weather in NY… Mornings are hitting on the 30s then going into the 70s lol
I have driven an old Nissan leaf for 5 years as a commuter, and I love it I don’t pay for gas or maintenance the electrons are free, and the insurance is cheap. I’m waiting on some more robust options so I can have an EV as my main car.
Exactly we also need to work on materials… Federalizing the legalization of cannabis would go a long way into fixing the materials industry. Plastics need to fully be taken out of the supply chain for packaging, and replaced with biodegradable hemp based plastics. Polyester also needs to be removed from the clothing supply chain. I have several shirts that are hemp cotton blends that are amazing. China is beating is on hemp production… We should be crushing this gap.
Jellyfish can’t swim at night
Sure there just won’t be any survivors because the storm wool come people won’t be prepared
These little USB light bulb things… They were like a nickel each and I use them with my power banks and when I just need a light
This will have the effect of people buying far fewer cars because the options are fewer and far between then moving to micromobility.
Politicians be like
Yeah I find it a ridiculous parallel I recently saw an article that put a number on Chinese EV subsidies and it seemed extremely low compared to the barrels of money we’ve been giving the oil companies.
It is massively clownish though because as the barrier to entry goes up higher everyone will just switch to micromobility which is built mostly by the Chinese
Hosting a forum costs money, and we ain’t got that
So long as they remain open source
I really hope Librewolf will keep on if Mozilla enshittifies
Why? At least that one can heal itself.
Sadly many developing countries are further along in EV uptake because they have access to $4k EVs without tariffs
