8 hours of sleep ! Wow I’d love that ! If I can get 6 hours it’s a great night. Haven’t been able to sleep 8 hours in years except for the rare weekends where I don’t get woken up by the neighbors dogs or to work my second job.

My friends high end sony system with square speakers (yeah I’m old) kept poping the speaker coils out of their sockets at 70% power. His 600$ sony dvd player would not play burned DVDs. My Phillips amp would power my realistic home made speakers up to 100% and they could still take a lot more (200W RMS amp and 275W designed speakers) and my weird named 65$ DVD would even play DIVX movies on burned DVDs. Fuck Sony.

J’ai même pas vérifié ses chiffres. Pour moi en lisant les premières ligne de sa complainte je me suis dit qu’il veux avoir plus de main d’oeuvre à bas prix et faire plus de contact puisque qu’il en vois passer sans pouvoir TOUT les prendre. Encore un patron avare qui as aucune idée des réalités de la vie pour un employé physique à bas salaire. Il encourage des jeunes à quitter les études pour finir le dos casser à 46 Ans.

Et c’est sans parler des “cours de sécurité” comme les ASP qui en commençant te disent vous allez tousbavoir 100% cme ça vous êtes déclaré compétant et responsable et ce seras votre faute si quelque-chose arrive. Sa seras pas la faute de votre pateon ni de ASP.

Étant travailleur de la construction je suis malheureusement témoin de trop de patrons qui coupe les coons rond et mette la pression sur leurs employés, ce qui donne des employés blessé et qui auront une vie misérable à partir de moin de 50 ans. Passer sa retraite pris dans une chaise roulante ou aublit à cause d’un dos détruit ou un accident de travail évitable.

Les jeunes sont trop souvent sous payer et lancer sans encadrement dans des travaux dangereux.

Je suis d’accord que c’est très possible de faire le travail de façon sécuritaire et efficace mais ça sa coûte trop cher pour les patrons.

Même quand la loi est claire il y as dès patrons qui poussent leurs employés à faire des choses illégale ou travailler avec des équipements hors normes. Et plus récemment, les pièces d’entretien d’équipements de basses qualité acheter sur des sites comme Amazon et AliExpress, pièce qui ne suivent pas les normes Canadienne comme des fusible de 10A qui saute à 40A donc danher de feux etc…

If I open a store in my town and start selling fake crap I can’t go and say “sorry not my fault I’m just a reseller you need to deal with the guy who sold it to me” I will be brought to court and loose why is Amazon allowed to sell fakes and non UL complient equipment?

I see a huge difference in picture quality especially at night in my latest phone. And I now kind of like the bump on my pixel 8, I used to use my pinky to prevent the phone from slipping down and it got to a point where it hurts due to the phone weight. But with the pixel 8 I often use the bump with all my fingers holding the weight preventing my pinky from being torn away.

What’s fumny to me is I remember watching a computer show on TV in late 90s they where interviewing an Adobe representative about the new Photoshop 5.0…

The TV host asked what adobe though about pirated copies and the representative said on LIVE TV that Photoshop price was for professional who make a living out of Photoshop and that any hobbyist had nothing to fear about using a pirated copy as it only served to get more people knowledgable about Photoshop and if these started doing business in photography and neede Photoshop they would then pay for it so to not be unprofessional.

I run the pie with a Kingston 100Gig ssd with a usb adaptor.

I used to be torrenting all the time and can adapt to new software and techniques easily. I also played with tech all my life from basic electronics, computers hardware and software etc… Lately I kind of don’t watch movies and have Tidal for music so I just don’t use PC’s much other than playing YouTube on my TV before bed.

Being interested is not my problem, the more I want to read something the harder it is to not drift in my mind and have to restart a few lines before. And after a few pages I just start to nod and fall asleep. It’s hard to describe. The worst is even if I power through a book I can’t remember it the next day. Some events might bring back part of the story in my mind but it’s never enough to even make a quote. It’s the same for movies although I dont fall asleep I can’t remember it the next day. I hate that, and it’s not like I have no memory at all I will remember stupid shit other did or where they left stuff etc but the more I need or want to remember something the more I risk forgetting.
