Its not about sources, its about real world effects. If there was a genocide not only would there be a lot of physical evidence and verifiable testimony, there would be thousands, and thousands of refugees flooding all over the region.

Where is the physical evidence of this genocide? Because I can see dead Palestinian children by the truckloads if I want to.
but I believe there has been at least one country in the world where they tried decriminalizing drugs

the 2010s science bazinga man being the reason all the cool science gets cut is darkly funny.
This is what the fascists on Fox News were saying on election night. Garbage rhetoric and completely untrue. It does show you that it didn’t matter how much of a war-hawk Kamala tried to present herself as, those opposed to her would see her as not being sufficiently bloodthirsty. All it was good for was alienating her natural base.
Poland’s perception being off by 7x is pretty wild.
Certain Tolkien nerds are so obnoxious about this, it’s like a mantra. In a lot of online spaces if you ever try to talk about allegory in Lord of the Rings you’ll get a dozen of these people responding purely to tell you Tolkien hated allegory. As though everyone isn’t already aware.

Sounds like pure ideology, you don’t need to uncritically accept the conceits of a setting.
“the creator of the video is able to cherry-pick their information and weave it into the narrative that they want”
Its called an essay. You take primary and secondary sources, and then weave them together with arguments to persuade a point. You also provide all your sources so people can fact check your assertions based on the facts you’ve provided. Typically you need to read/listen to the essay. Then if you find their arguments unpersuasive, or fishy you check their sources and reply (you don’t literally have to, it can be just for yourself) using their own sources against them, or your own sources and arguments that dispute their claims. Its the essence of critical thinking, genius.
