These are questions that keep me up at night.

      To be fair, it would make sense to divide megalopolises from large rural areas to create more proportional states for a functioning and equally representative democracy (as in a council/soviet democracy (or other forms of the dictatorship of the proletariat), not the plutocracy of the US). Beijing has a population of 21.9 million, while Wisconsin has a population of 5.9 million, so even as a city, Beijing is much larger than Wisconsin. It’s an imperfect analogy not because Beijing is a city, but Beijing is much bigger than Wisconsin, so in this regard, I would consider the analogy close enough.

    “China campists” in one thread

    “Beijingcap/Beijingfash” in this one

    Trying to introduce language to conceptually ‘other’ China: cui bono?

      Seems like a strange place to try and workshop those sorts of terms though. Surely any liberal forum would be much better?

        Not if you want leftists to think they’re labels that leftists came up with.

        Maybe I’m paranoid. If it wasn’t for OP’s post history I’d be accusing, but as it is I’m just wanting people to consider who benefits from this kind of terminology being created.

          I’m not sure I fully understand what you’re talking about. If the goal is to generate another thought terminating cliche to dismiss anyone who isn’t frothing at the mouth with hatred for China, this is probably the worst place on the internet to do it. Any liberal “leftist” instance would be far, far better for this sort of thing.

          Unless you’re not accusing OP of being a fed, but just stating that making this kind of terminology up isn’t the best idea, which yeah, it really isn’t, but thought terminating cliches will continue to exist regardless of where they initially came from.

      Wisconcom = Communist from Wisconsin

      Here, Wisconsin = Place in America
      America = Capitalist
      Com = Communist = Opposite of Capitalist

      Since China =/= Capitalist, China = Opposite of America
      Beijing = Place in China
      Cap/Fash = Capitalist/Fascist = Opposite of Communist

      Ergo, Beijingcap/Beijingfash = Capitalist/Fascist from Beijing, the opposite of a Communist from Wisconsin

        So basically the rapper Xiangyu?

        He’s basically a reich-wing Taiwanese nationalist. He hates LGBT people and has a bone to pick with furries, and he thinks that social policy to the left of Benito Mussolini is “woke” nonsense. He also claims he would support the PRC liberating Taiwan yet admitted he would serve his role as a Taiwanese collaborator out of some “duty” horseshit.

            I can only haphazardly guess. I’m not a psychologist or a sociologist or behaviorist or cultural expert. And it’s more than likely a combination of various different intersecting reasons.

            He’s a narcissistic prick and an arrogant douchebag, he’s almost like the stereotype of a Han ethnonationalist despite possibly not even being of Han descent.

            Given that at least on paper, gender and sexuality matter less in China or its considered more of a private matter, I can understand him thinking that communists that focus on social issues (read: every legitimate communist) are wasting time debating stupid shit as China and the global south is subjugated by the imperialist West.

            That doesn’t whatsoever justify his bigotry and capriciousness and his false sense of arrogance.

            I think that just like other Nazbols and MAGA-“communists” Xiangyu understands that something is wrong with human society. No shit, that’s what being a communist means. But he misplaces blame onto anyone who isn’t straight or isn’t an alt-reich douchebag for daring to be different instead of just mindless drones like he is. He has probably suffered alot in life from bullying and harassment, and he thinks that is the epic kewl guy owning the libs for fighting back against “muh woke wokies!” instead of a douchebag that doesn’t understand what he claims to support.

          Yo wait a minute, that’s the guy who had an interview with the director of “Loyal citizens of Pyongyang”, I didn’t know he was like that. Between him and the ACP guys I keep seeing more and more commies with fucked up views, I don’t know what’s up with that.
