Yeah calling programs that don’t actually demonstrate intelligence AI is probably one of the most public confusing things the tech bros have done.
It’s not Skynet or HAL or AM, it’s a very very fancy copy paste protocol, and the owning class is using it to crush independent markets.
It was called AI in games long before OpenAI released ChatGPT.
it was also called ai when it just recognized images. only recently have people started being upset about it.
