They know the man who killed Charlie Kirk recently was positioned on a roof. I am sure he left some traces behind. A single hair of the killer or some skin particles should be enough to find evidence against him in a man hunt?

    1. Only if they knew the exact location where the shooter was. Like to the meter.

    2. Only if the DNA is in a database (usually of known criminals).

    3. How can you be sure it’s not the DNA of any other person that’s been in that spot?

I am no expert on this matter, I wanted to hear how difficult it is to convict him. As you point out, finding evidence against a suspect in such a case is pretty hard, once he can leave far away.

No, most forensic science is almost honestly bullshit. And even if they did, a single hair or a bit of skin particles has a lot of ways to make it to a rooftop. There’s probably a sampling of 1/3rd of the students that walked by that place in the last year on that rooftop.

fuck. So you are saying its likely they will not have the needed evidence to convict him with certainty?

They’ll catch him with the mass surviellence panopticon the US has been extralegally constructing for the last 30 years, and then have to scramble for a parellel construction to avoid a mistrial and/or avoid spilling the beans on how pervasive the state intelligence apparatus is.

If the guy does not carry a phone or navigation system he could have the perfect escape? Maybe his car is spying on him though and is sending the data to the PRISM system.

That would help in the getaway, but the lack of activity would ping just as hard in a longer investigation.

And yes, assume every device with a power source is spying on you, esp if its got a speaker or antenna, because it probably is.

They don’t have him by now, they never will. Which means they will just frame someone else.

It’s sad, I still remember Charlie’s last words: “It’s fall everyone. Time to get your shots!” - Charlie Kirk, vaccine advocate

I do not think they find many traces at the scene. The shooter even picked up his bullet casing before leaving.
