I know this is a meme but I did genuinely have this thought. Because one of the reasons I saw people cite for the creation of Israel was as reparations for what the Nazis did, so to that I wondered why not just take a chunk out of Germany instead since they were the main perpetrators.
I kindly remind those people that the zionist occupation and colonization of Palestine began decades before WW2 ended.
