I have a fairly new electric lawnmower that works great, however the last time I used it it ended up going through a big patch of poison ivy (which I ended up covered in). I don’t really want to use it again if I’m just going to end up itching for 3 weeks again. I know the oils from poison ivy can hang around for years on anything it touches, so is it ok if I hit it with the pressure washer to clean it off? I don’t want to destroy the mower. If I just duct tape the battery compartment closed will that be ok?

Pull the battery and clean it separate from the mower. Anywhere near the shaft or battery compartment wash without high pressure, the rest, blast away.
