Not a night, but my group of friends will pick a theme like 80s fantasy movies of 40s noirs, and put together 8ish films, with a mix of classics and more obscure choices. You’ve got the week to watch the movie, then at the weekend we send our thoughts / review. Generally come up with a set of review criteria, our TieDyeFuturism: 70s sci-fi season had stuff like “The Real Monster is… MAN”, “Virtually Indistinguishable from Magic” and “A woman on the Bridge?!”
Yeah, my wife and I like going through archives to find shows that didn’t age well, then show those scenes to friends for laughs.
Was watching some 1940s Looney Tunes, and you expect and see racism, which makes it predictable, but every once in a while, they get in a joke or bit that catches everyone by surprise.

Yep, every week. The family gathers across the world and I stream a movie every Thursday and we all have a chat channel dedicated to it. We take turns picking the movie, and try to find something unusual and unseen.
I have two, one is a bi- monthly movie club with friends where we focus on movies that have a lot to talk about (so generally artsy movies), and another monthly kung-fu movie night where we just hang out and watch people beat each other up for fun.
No kids, so every night is movie night. We watch so many shows and movies that there’s always something to watch or catch up on every day.
My friends and I have “gaming nights” that involve about 45 mins of gaming before we all watch a Ken Russell movie or something similarly offbeat.

If you want a suggestion for a bad movie, try watching FDR: American Badass Only managed to make it about half an hour in before we had to switch it off.

I do a movie night or 2 almost every week. I have a pretty decent home theater setup in my living room with an OLED TV, so movie nights are super relaxing and entertaining.
I hate to be the guy shilling OLEDs but if you’re into movies and/or graphically impressive games, OLED is what you’re gonna want to use.
Yes. Periodically, we invite friends over for a dinner and a movie. My partner loves sharing her cooking with people and I love sharing our (my) badass home theater setup.
