Example: I stopped because I grew attached to an anime called Zombie Land Saga (2018) and am currently trying to forget about it now.

I posted about it on Reddit, then on here because I didn’t agree with the writing of the overall show.

I won’t bicker about it anymore though.

Ehhh, technically I didn’t stop watching anime. I just don’t watch much of anything, and when I do, anime is so far down the list of options that it never happens. I make exceptions for other people that want to watch something anime, but there’s so many great movies I haven’t seen yet, and shows that are supposedly up my alley, that yet another badly dubbed/translated cartoon just isn’t interesting to me.

And yes, I said cartoon. There’s a difference between an animated movie and a cartoon in the serial nature of a cartoon vs a movie. Anime series are cartoons with a different name. Anime movies are animated movies with the same word and the series type, so it’s hard to talk about them as separate forms without the word cartoon.

And holy hell, most of them are so badly translated as to be absurd. Just the difference between subtitles and dubs in the same show is silly. Then you talk to someone that speaks Japanese, and they’re objecting to both versions being badly done.

Beyond that, I have pretty damn picky tastes in any animated entertainment. A lot of anime is badly written dreck

Agreed. I like to watch Batman: The Animated Series for being a very good series.

I also watch it because I like comic books more, especially that Batman guy.
