What a weird slogan to choose.
Especially given he’s not coming from a working class, or has had experience in the work force. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he’s been a literally lifelong politician right?)
He’s drowning. His political acuity begins and ends with mimicking Trump tactics and coming up with three word polemics. But literally everything he had a slogan for is no longer relevant and so the punchable-faced twerp can’t find a good rhyme anymore.
But they work… People kept acting like trump is just a dumbass and won’t win. A lot of us are watching the same stuff happening in CA and hearing people down play it makes us want to warn you.
People still act that way in USA… Saying trump is bad or that he wouldn’t win, or calling him out… None of that had any effect on his success.
I don’t know what the solution is… But I feel like I’m watching America repeat in Canada.
I know right? Personally I would have gone with: “Mittens, not suspenders.”
Honestly, neither of the two major Canadian parties do anything to help unions anyway.
Last year there was an Opinion article in the Globe and Mail titled:
Yet another summer of strikes? All political parties are now backing unions
Then a few weeks later:
