Was there some sort of topical even that would make this funnier?
File hidden in a cake is some sort of trope, the prisoner files through the bars and escapes.
But instead they hid a filing cabinet in a pie, which is ridiculous and unhelpful (AFAIK, paperwork is allowed in prison).
I thought it was funny.
OTOH, the prisoner has glasses and is balding, making him look professorial.
So maybe this is actually the file that he wanted.
