Eh, if they can, why not?
For the same reason it was a problem when they were releasing PS3 / PS4 games. The PS4 exclusive games were always better because they can actually make use of the console’s power.
Apparently, they have twice as many players on PS4.
Given that the original game came out for PS1, the only Sony’s console this game may not run would be that weirid CD-drive add-on they made for the SNES back in the days ref
