Have you considered the Dreadbox Nymphes? I don’t have one, but it’s on my list because it hits the Juno60/106 target very well while also being more flexible in terms of sound design. BYOKB, but I can see one of them sitting very well next to a digital workhorse like a Blofeld or MS2000R in a setup for when you need that analog feeling.

I put a hard stop on buying synths with keyboards after I got a 61 key controller. Then I found a Grandmother for $600, so now I just look at Eurorack stuff that I can’t afford as I feed LFOs and envelopes into it from my Hydrasynth.

Sell 2 of your synths that have keyboards with more than 39 keys. You don’t use them (be honest, we’ve all fallen victim to our own GAS) and you could use the money and space.

When I sell my 5 year old flagship phone I’ll get $30 more easily if I have the box and the stuff that came in it. People see that and subconsciously think “this person has their shit together. buying their used phone isn’t a risk.”

Same goes for other stuff, too. I recently sold a synthesizer for $150 over the market rate because I had the box, manual (even though it was out of date due to firmware updates) and the stickers that came with it.

I like semi up-to-the-minute tech, so keeping things in good shape and giving someone the unboxing experience keeps my costs down at the cost of a little space in my closet.

Most decent MIDI keyboards feature velocity detection via the same method as SP404 pads, with two sets of contacts. Their contacts strips are usually quite narrow and could easily be placed in rows. Might be easier to use them instead of DIYing a bunch of rubber.

I was just curious. You mentioned just liking the truck enough that I wondered if it was more fashion or function. Nothing wrong with fashion of course, who wants to drive a vehicle they don’t like the look of? I have feelings about efficiency, but that’s your wallet, not mine.

I want to get a small truck for my wife (she’s always got a project going that would benefit from cargo space) but small trucks are tough to come by these days. I wish Rangers weren’t as big as F150s used to be.
