Speaking for myself (as I can’t speak for everyone) I wouldn’t mind compliments on my looks/clothes etc but certainly not in reference to my transition, that’s a no-go. Especially if other people (doubly so for strangers) are in earshot, I don’t want them to know if they haven’t caught up on it already. There is always the chance that I pass for them and I don’t want that ruined, if I want to tell them I’m trans I can do that myself on my own terms.

I can recommend patches. I’ve been very happy with them although I do recommend to also apply something like tegaderm over them so they don’t fall off as easily it also helps to not notice them as much on your skin.

I will try to use it with Adobe Reader. Right now I need a Windows VM to use it because a PDF I use (MorePurpleMoreBetter Character Sheet for D&D) needs all the PDF scripting and it only works in Adobe Reader and getting Adobe Reader to work in Wine is a pain.
