When I was a kid, I had to reference several manuals and carefully assemble a double handful of parts in specific order to connect two computers to eachother. I’d have to fiddle with protocols and speeds and obscure features and traits to make the stars align. Transferring 200mb would be an overnight task. If I wanted to show pictures from my vacation on a big screen, I would have to have them printed on cellulose and insert them in tiny frames to project on a thick screen with a huge machine.

Yesterday, I went to a friend, pointed my phone at a magic symbolqr code and sent a full movie to their PC in a few minutes. Then I pushed a button to make the photographs on my phone appear on their TV.

I think they’re engine units, yeah. “Booster” implies there’s some sort of second stage, so that’s not really the right word.

But yeah, these were NOT shot down, they’re just the engine units that fall to the ground somewhere behind the target after delivering it’s payload.

If these had been shot down, they’d look a lot more like the Stormshadow above, ripped to pieces (and probably with the warhead attached)

Edit: actually, a Stormshadow/Scalp in hard-target mode might also look like this, since most of the rear end would just kinda smack ‘harmlessly’ into the hard target after delivering the penetrator and follow-up separately.

There are websites that will list “bad” books, including lists of wordcounts of the bad words. That way, you can stay up to date on what to be offended about without actually putting in any effort to form your own opinion.

Nice historical revision there, but those far right parties, who all have close ties with Russia and/Putin personally, have been very in favour of the Russia invasion of Ukraine right up to the point where they stopped winning.

Huh? What collapse? I certainly haven’t noticed it, and the tiny drops of aid to Ukraine certainly haven’t been the cause of it. In fact, the most-opposed countries have given less than a tenth of a percent of their GDP.

I mean yeah, it IS fun for a bit, I do medieval reenactment, obviously I enjoy it. But doing it every day absolutely sucks.
