This is a lesson I try to teach my kids every day. When they get upset they can’t do something, I ask, “well whatd you learn?” And sometimes it’s as simple as “that didn’t work.” Other times they think for a second they try something new.
Failure is a learning opportunity. Take advantage if it.
Venmo usually, but many banks have built in cash payment apps too.
I’m 35 and never had a PayPal account and have never felt the need for one
When I was a coop (intern), and I’d run out of work assigned to me, I’d head down to the floor or a lab and just talked to people. In 6 months, I knew more about the process than people who had been there years
Thats just the difference between a good engineer and a bad engineer. A good engineer designs things around how others are going to use them, and the design with tolerance. They would have known you use 50kg bags, and realized that’s what you’re going to do.
In my field, we know people are gonna put things together with a hammer if it’s too tight, so if it’s intentionally a tight fit, we make it so there’s no room to swing a hammer
Sometimes it’s hard to tell if they like pineapples or swingers, but if you see an upside down pineapple, they’re swingers. Thats just usually not an option on clothing
Do you sit at the bar and wear pineapple swim trunks? That’d probably help
Is this real? I hadn’t heard that part yet
Idk if my boss gives me a schedule with unreasonable timelines and deliverables, I tell him, and we talk about it, and we get it fixed. If it keeps happening, I’ve found new work.
Maybe the medical industry has systematic issues that can’t be resolved, but everyone should have some autonomy
This reads to me like someone signed up for a website with a fake location.

You’ve made assumptions that I think matter.
many voters see right through that
Yeah but the voters who don’t, the voters who can change their mind, are the ones who need that. They’re not doing it for the 90% who see through that, they’re trying to convince the last 10% to vote for them.
reasonable people choose [better policy] every time
Same thing. They’re not going after reasonable people. We’ve see recently how many people don’t care about policy and only care about how the character is displayed
I think it was sent late night, and the implication is that they will be waking up soon to see it
The problem is that you can replace him with a better candidate, but that doesn’t mean the new candidates chances of winning are better. The DNC has to put up the candidate that gives the best chance of winning, not necessarily the best candidate.
And people will go to a school because they’re fans of the football team, or send their kids there because they’re fans of the team. To act like the sports programs do nothing to help the university, or their athletes is disingenuous
The crime wasn’t the payment, it was the falsifying business records. And based solely on the information in this thread, the final signature for those false records did happen while he was in office in 2017.
Just because it happened when he was in office does not make it an official act, but thats their argument
We have a saying at work…
“All models are wrong. Some are useful.”
This was our company too. They struck some sort of deal with chat gpt that we use their base code, but aren’t connected to their machine learning. Feels like a pretty reasonable approach in my opinion.
So our training was, “use ours. Don’t use anyone else’s because we don’t want our proprietary information out there to never be able to be scrubbed from the internet”
