0·2 months agoThe Defibrillator thing is very misleading. Yes, a Defibrillator alone cannot restart a heart. You need to do CPR and if you can combine it with a Defibrillator (operated by a doctor or an AED) you actually have a chance of reviving someone (obviously there is no 100% success rate and the person needs to be “freshly” dead).
0·2 months agoBong-Bong Junior to be precise. He’s the son of the former filipino Dictator Ferdinand Marcos who stole billions of USD out of the country, and got overthrown in 1986. But Bong-Bong Jr. managed to gaslight most of the nation in 2022 and got elected to be president (and can now stop all investigations into the stolen money).
For everyone who doesn’t get it: Ben Affleck (left) got a divorce from his wife. Pete Davidson (right) is kind of infamous for “stealing” girlfriends/wives. So the meme is that Pete stole Ben.

While they didn’t actively decide, it is their end goal. It’s just the natural outcome of capitalism, where an infinite increase of profits and getting a monopoly is the desired state for every corporation. It’s the intended function of our system.
In order to protect us and our planet we need to abolish capitalism in all its forms.
Nvidia just released a new driver for Linux, which fixes a lot of the issues with wayland. There are still a few issues left, but it’s very much useable now!

The ocean cleanup doesn’t even make a dent, it never will. The amount of trash we’re dumping into the ocean is far higher than they could ever clean up. You have to fight the problem at the root, then you can think about cleaning it up. Otherwise it’ll be fine to dump trash in the ocean “bc the cleanup guys will catch it”
