When I was toddler back in the early 80s, I couldn’t say grandma because enunciation hard. So I said it the best I could. Phonetically, it was maw-gah but when I got a bit older and could spell, it was Maga. To this day I still call her that and so do my kids.
Ah that reminds me of Killer Klowns from Outer Space. A timeless classic.

My dad would pause the recording when commercials started and resumed recording when the commercials ended. It was funny when he was 15 sec late on both accounts lol.
My “rich” aunt (relative to my family) had a laserdisc player. I would watch the Disney Robin Hood, as well as Star Wars and Star Trek The Motion Picture.

It was a half-life mod just like CS and DoD. PVK wasn’t very popular but it was damn good fun. Three teams against each other, and each ‘race’ had three separate classes in each. Playing as a pirate captain and sending your parrot to go attack another was the highlight of my playing time lmao.
Edit here’s a game play video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpKxkIxnNsg
Oh thanks for the nostalgic trip! Tribes was so fun. CS was so fun. Day of Defeat was my jam! Did you ever play Pirates Vikings Knights? 😆
Because it’s frozen (i.e. ice)
