  • When the inevitable revolution is complete, Tesla needs to be socialized! People should really start talking about this and aiming for it seriously as a an end goal.

Tesla is manufactured locally and they’ve been heavily investing in building factories while all the other car makers went out. This is one of the things Tesla did right and why Elon was well loved by liberals, before he went all out as a Nazi.

And look the last thing I want to do right now is defend Elon’s anything, and the Chinese EVs have really caught up, but Teslas are great EVs that are reliable but will be on the road and need service for decades to come.

Socialize and nationalize Tesla, it was built by the most talented American engineers and hard workers all for the profit of one Nazi and his family, let’s fix that last bit.

Socialize Tesla. Take it back from the Nazi enemy of the state, give it back to the people who built it.

  • Real world development isn’t creating exciting apps all the time, it’s writing the same exact boring convention based code sticking to an established pattern.

It can be really boring and unchallenging to create your millionth respiratory, or you can prompt your ide to create a new repo and with one sentence it will create stub out 10 minutes worth of tedious prep work. It makes programming fun again.

In one prompt, it can look at my finished code and stub out half decent documentation that otherwise wouldn’t have been completed at. It does hallucinate sometimes, or it completely misunderstands the code, so you have to correct a few sentences, but the brain drain of coming to with the sentence structure to write useful documentation is completely lifted, and the code is now well documented.

AI programming is more than just vibe coding, and it’s way more useful than everyone here insists it’s not.

  • Non of those examples are relevant.

Those examples are specific tools or specific implementation pattern, AI in development is a tool.

It doesn’t dictate how to write software or what the written code will look like, it’s a tool that speeds up your code wiring. It catches typos and silly bugs that take hours to debug, it’s able to generate useful unit tests, it can clean up and apply my code style way better than codemaid or resharper ever code, it’s taken care of so much tedious shit and made software development fun again.

Vibe coding is not the future of development. If you aren’t learning to use AI as a tool in development, you are going to be left behind.

It’s more apt to compare it to IDEs. Sure, you can still write you entire app in vim and compile it in the terminal, but you would have been very foolish to deny the future of development was in IDEs.

  • sure ignore all the judges, fed workers and doctors being threatened with losing their livelihoods and jail, possibly violence

They aren’t fighting, they are barely resisting by doing their job.

ignore the massive amounts of non violent protests

Massive? You’re impressed with the size of protests in the face of what’s happening?

all the quiet behind the scenes work on trying to preserve everything we can

There’s a difference between dismissing all efforts by all individuals and stating a starling fact: we are collectively not doing enough.

but sure get right out there and give them a reason to declare martial law

Wait wait wait this took me back a bit, I wasn’t ready to respond to this point. You’re either completely brainwashed by neo-liberals or you just have not thought your contradicting views through fully.

What’s the point of protest? Have you ever marched in an organized peaceful protest in designated areas and paths where police literally setup caution tape and mobile barriers to direct your protest from point a to point b?

How did that feel? Did you feel like you accomplished much? Did the few onlookers that actually walked by your “protest” path seen engaged and informed?

Protests that don’t bother anyone are just state sponsored venting sessions. If the Nazis are in power, and they aren’t imposing marshall law because of your protests, you’re not protesting.

When the Biden regime saw actual massive protests of his genocide, they called students terrorists and started making laws to squash it. Just a few days a go a bill was passed to make it illegal to criticize Israel on Campus by conflating anti genocide protests with antisemitism.

There’s your fascism, 320-91 bipartisan fascism! Protest, massively and un"peacefully" before you can’t.

  • The only reason you’re fighting the loud Nazis now is because you insisted on voting for the nice Nazis as a solution.

This was Biden’s genocide, Israel starved Gaza under Biden already and he did nothing, it was Trump who paused the genocide, in a stupid attempt to get Gazans to just play along and ethnically cleanse themselves, and now he resumed Biden’s genocide.

When history books are written, you can bet your ass we Palestinians will keep reminding the whole world that this was Israel and Biden’s genocide.

But please, feel free to pat yourself on the back and tell yourself you did your part, you did what you could to end the genocide by voting for the party committing it, it’s everyone else’s fault that the other party is also committing it. You’re just a dumb Nazi.

  • There’s a big difference between understanding and relating to the victims of atrocities, and simply not knowing about historic events.

They aren’t ignorant, you are whitewashing them and stripping them of agency. They know about the racist history that they benefit from greatly! The education system in South Africa covers the rise, implementation, and fall of apartheid in significant detail.

What are you arguing about? It could have taken you less time to look up how seriously apartheid is taken in South Africa instead of listing a bunch of irrelevant countries that don’t take seriously irrelevant crimes, what are you doing?

  • I mean, that’s probably not what they’re implying.

I read that as “when my kids who have never experienced the reality of apartheid grow up, they will be discriminated against because they are white”

The article is FULL of little bits like that to make them sound like reasonable people just trying to live. Thankfully the article also provides contrary evidence: 9.2% unemployment rate.

Rich afrikaners who are upset apartheid is gone and they now have to be treated like normal people bitching about how they now have to actually earn jobs instead of being handed one for being white, and they still have the majority of jobs.
