I don’t mean to hate but based of prior experience I’m inclined to agree.
It’s using work done for the Arkdep tookkit by Arkane Linux. The immutable image is based on btrfs.
I’m loving the immutable revolution in Linux land.
This is gonna be interesting. The “Manjaro always bad” crowd and the “immutable always good” crowd share a lot of members. What groupthink will win the community concensus?
Good to see Manjaro still have the kind of following that makes projects like these possible. I was kind of expecting Endeavour to be the first popular Manjarolike to set up such a project, but I suppose I was mistaken.
Leveraging BTRFS is a pretty smart way to accomplish immutable distros. I don’t think Silverblue and its derivatives use quite the same approach to image layers. Fun to see!
What groupthink will win the community concensus?
This will really depend on how well they do, but I’m already seeing the “Manjaro always bad” crowd winning here
