‘We will have to do less of some of the things that we want to do,’ Carney says

[…]

“The upcoming budget will balance the operating deficit in three years by reducing wasteful government spending and doing more with less,” Carney said. “But the fact is, even with such efficiencies and with better management, we will have to do less of some of the things that we want to do, so we can do more of what we must do to build a bigger and better Canada.”

It remains unclear exactly what those sacrifices will be or how they will be distributed.

The fuck is left to sacrifice Carney? We’ve been struggling for years. most of us can’t afford rent or eat. there’s nothing left to sacrifice.

There’s a lot left to sacrifice.

We could sacrifice our data privacy to the US in bill C-2.

the only requirements to make an information demand is that the officer has “reasonable grounds to suspect” that any offence has been or will be committed under any Act of Parliament, and that the information they demand will assist in the investigation of that offence. “Reasonable grounds to suspect” is an incredibly low burden to meet–much lower than “reasonable grounds to believe”. Officers can thus make information demands even where they have nothing beyond a mere suspicion that an offence might be committed.

THIS. I say don’t pass the budget, have an election and we’ll reduce his minority further by electing more NDPs (cause progressives are already tired of having loaned Carney their vote) and with yet another election loss - end Polievre’s career once and for all.

I propose that the leader of the opposition no longer needs a residence at taxpayer expense. No housing for losers.
