This is the reality on the ground for many sisters in my town and every town immediately around me, regardless of relationship status. Unless they marry affluently, and many do.

I am the opposite of Hakim on that commercial.
It’s sad and depressing - even infuriating - within context but honestly I can’t help but laugh whenever I see it. It’s just too surreal to take seriously.
