It’ll probably be clear in a week or so if there are mass firings. Seems like government shut down may be used as an excuse as well.
Lots of new things will happen
I’m sure none of them will be good for the empire in the long term.
If most wealth is in the hands of 100k families and the following years do not cause them to loose their money or lives. Then I think most will not care much how the map is drawn
