My answer is:

Too much F1 racing stuff, Sports, DC and Marvel stuff, and conservative politics.

I just feel once that stuff is on here too much, we won’t be distinct from Reddit. It will just be more Reddit here. I kind of don’t want that.

    • “Reddit atheism”. It’s immature and distasteful, and completely different from saying/thinking “it just doesn’t sit well with me/I’ve had a bad experience with religion in so now I just dont think about that/I don’t feel there’s enough information to support these ideas”.
    • Shock “humour”, for the same reasons. The only person I’ve blocked on Lemmy due to their content fits this criteria. Nothing is said in earnest, it’s all for laughs but they’ll randomly talk about cumming inside their mother, like… what? 🫩
    • People being mean to others from the get go. At least get frustrated with the person you’re talking to 3 to 4 replies in, it’s understandable (although it’s better to keep your cool, ofc, and just “politely” exiting the convo), but don’t just jump at people’s throats (I haven’t seen this one much, so I’m glad).

I don’t want to see negativity like this. If you don’t like something, you can just block it and you’ll never see it on Lemmy again. That’s what I’ve done with various things.

That’s true, I forget you can block whole communities on Lemmy. I guess my question is moot as long as that feature exists.
