    I haven’t chimed in any of the times that LibertyHub and LinkOpensChest.wav have been brought up here in a controversial light.

    That said, I have REALLY enjoyed the LibertyHub community for not making me constantly feel disenfranchised or defensive about my political views. The heavy handed moderation style has made it a really great community for me to discuss things I care about without needing to constantly refute whataboutisms and general lib shit.

    That type of community isn’t for everyone, and that’s by design. We don’t need everyone to feel welcome in every community. LibertyHub is explicitly for like-minded leftists that don’t want to put up with authoritarian or capitalist sympathizers. It needs to be heavily moderated to be that kind of community.

    I’m not even the type of person to block communities or users that I disagree with. I just want to have one good bastion of Lemmy where I don’t feel the need to explain or argue about why inexcusable things are inexcusable.

    LibertyHub under LinkOpensChest.wav’s moderation has been great for that.

    I hope the general moderation style doesn’t change because of this.
