I have a fairly new electric lawnmower that works great, however the last time I used it it ended up going through a big patch of poison ivy (which I ended up covered in). I don’t really want to use it again if I’m just going to end up itching for 3 weeks again. I know the oils from poison ivy can hang around for years on anything it touches, so is it ok if I hit it with the pressure washer to clean it off? I don’t want to destroy the mower. If I just duct tape the battery compartment closed will that be ok?

I have to clean out the underside when I’m done mowing, I have to open and close the battery compartment, and I have to fold the thing up to put it away once I’m finished with it. There’s not really a part of the mower I don’t end up touching at some point or another.
