I fucking hate this timeline, and I hate the fact that I spent all my life being a good little shit who never stepped outside the bounds. What a waste. Clearly laws were never really intended to be followed but just put up as low-level barriers for idiots who thought they applied to them.
The good that you’ve put into the world doesn’t dissipate just because bad still exists. It’s definitely frustrating to see people “succeed” while not giving a shit about the people around them, but being a good person is never a “waste”.
