And please try to do it with the less bias possible, left and right wing are meaningless terms for me, I only believe in 🐔 wings.

The United States only has 3 barriers to the Presidency:

    1. You must be at least 35 years old.
    2. You must be a natural born US citizen.
    3. You can’t have already been elected President twice.

So there is nothing preventing either Biden or Trump from running.

As the sitting President, it’s logical that Biden would be the candidate for his party.

As the former sitting President, who failed to earn a 2nd term, it’s logical that Trump would be the candidate for his party.

Now, what about the indictments, the convictions, the adjudicated rape, the impeachment, none of that is a disqualifier.

We actually intentionally don’t make criminal convictions a barrier to the Presidency because a corrupt government could just disqualify a political rival by securing a conviction in a kangaroo court on trumped-up charges. I think it’s a good thing, but like most of our government it only works with an educated voting population, which we lack.

There’s rather a lot of undesirable traits in a candidate where the mechanism for blocking them from winning the presidency is people not voting for them.
