I was in college and a friend of mine who I grew up with had her mom’s house to herself for 4th of July weekend so she threw a party. No alcohol at the party, but I was invited to stay after the party ended with just her.
She brought out the alcohol she had purchased from a friend who knew someone old enough to buy liquor. There were a few different bottles, but I mostly remember a large plastic bottle of Joaquin’s white rum that we mixed with orange juice. It was terrible.
We had sex that night for the first time. Been together well over a decade and married for close to a decade.
