Hobbies aren’t an option for me, just saying.

Hey friend. Remember, I did say when we last spoke that you can reach out it you fancy a chat, before you told me to go fuck myself.

    Offer still stands.

    Sup?

Why do you feel that you are eternally lonely? How old are you? What do you do for a living? Do you have any health issues that are preventing you from leaving the house?

usually because it becomes very obvious the poster doesn’t want help and just wants to whine.

The solution to loneliness? Meet people. Find something you enjoy and find a group you can meet, online or otherwise. Start to find ways to build relationships with people.

“But I cant do literally anything to meet anyone ever”

        Laziness.

That’s incorrect. Also talking about your problems shouldn’t be a reason to hate you

Nobody here hates you for talking about your problems. They dislike the way that you post as if you’re asking for advice and then only engage as if everyone is failing you because they haven’t given you a one-sentence miracle cure to your depression. The people being pre-emptively harsh on you here are doing so because they know that you’re FookReddit69 and Kimdracula, so they have seen the routine before

Do you have any access to any professionals such as a therapist or social worker? You can ask for a more personalized advice from them. It’s hard to tell you how to cope with loneliness without knowing the specifics.

I treat my persona on the internet like it is an extension of myself. I do not mask my complexity, my identity (if anyone cares to dig), and I hold myself to a universal moral standard that is entirely my own. If someone is rude, I delete my comments, block them, and move on just like I would if I met them elsewhere. I want to be helpful, to engage, but also to just be myself. I’m disabled, and in a lot of pain. I need the chance to think out what I am saying and to do this social engagement in between projects and other tasks. When I feel my limitations, I think about Stephen Hawking and what it must have been like with ALS. While other people’s problems do nothing to help with my own, I still find it helpful to keep in mind that it can always be worse until the day it can’t, and nothing really matters once you’re gone. So you might as well remember today for the glass half full before the rose colored glasses in your future force the perspective on you later. I try not to focus on the negative any more than this.

    Hobbies not an option?

    No Videogames or D&D?

No fishing or crochet or bongo drums or whatever?

If you were less lonely, what would you be doing?

Eternal loneliness is a choice. Most people nowadays tend to dwell away behind their phonescreens / PC / TV. Get out and meet some people. There are meetups for things you find interesting. There are walking groups, travellers etc.

If you are alone, you are in the wrong context. A change of place, scenery, people or maybe your own personality is needed.

I don’t unfortunately, I just try to fill my time as a means to ignore it. Starting Monday I’ll be working 6-7 days a week between paid work and volunteering mostly so I don’t have to be alone. I’m married but my wife and kids barely talk to me, we just happen to exist in the same vicinity so I seek companionship elsewhere.
